Ukrainian entrepreneurs make charitable contributions to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And the charitable foundation Come Back Alive is in the top ten on Patreon in terms of funds.
- On February 14, the portal DOU published a post asking IT professionals to make charity donations to Come Back Alive. Previously, the foundation used to receive $25,000 each month. Today, that figure has already surpassed $100,000.
- According to Na Chasi, the Patreon page Come Back Alive is in the top ten projects by the number of financial donations. There is no official information about that yet, but the platform’s latest rankings show that only five projects raise more per month.
Ukrainian entrepreneurs and influencers have joined the initiative. Max Ischenko, the founder of DOU and Djinni, has transferred 5 million UAH (about $170k) to the foundation’s account. The authors of the show Shit I Know have collected and transferred another 102,000 UAH (vireo than $3000) to the foundation. N-iX has also reported about the donation. The startup Awesomic has also contributed 1 million UAH (almost $35 000).
The Ukrainian IT company Intellias has also raised and donated almost 600,000 UAH (more than $20k) to Come Back Alive. The money will be spent on quadcopters. Each of their flights provides information to the intelligence and commanders, and the cost of one quadcopter is 50,000 UAH (almost $2000).
Genesis has collected another five million hryvnias, the company’s CEO Vladimir Mnogoletniy posted on his Facebook page. He also says that Genesis and all its projects will remain in Ukraine to the bitter end.
Come Back Alive is one of the largest charitable foundations that supports Ukrainian soldiers, founded by the IT specialist Vitaliy Deynega. The organization collected more than 210 million UAH (more than $7M) in 2014. Donations can be made online or from any bank card using the bank details on the foundation’s website. The organization also accepts contributions in bitcoins. Here is a link to the page for transferring funds.
