WePlay Esports has invested in OTK (One True King) media company and influencer network. Per the agreement, WePlay Esports becomes OTK’s strategic partner. The companies have not disclosed the financial details of the deal.

  • Founded in 2020, OTK is known for organizing events featuring popular Twitch streamers. On March 12, 2022, OTK won the Best Content Organization Award during The Streamer Awards.
  • WePlay Esports is the flagship company of esports corporate group WePlay Holding. It is headquartered in Los Angeles and Kyiv. In Ukraine, WePlay Esports hosts esports events, including the Dota Pro Circuit major that was held on WePlay Esports Arena at VDNG in 2021. The partnership with OTK will support the strategic goal of the company, which is to accelerate the group’s expansion in the US market.
  • As for OTK, using AR and VR capabilities integrated with the WePlay Esports Arena L.A. and the technical expertise of the WePlay team, the company wants to reach a new level of content production.

AIN.Capital asked Ivan Danishevskyi, the head of the Ukrainian analytical agency, ESM.one, collecting all information about esports and other events in the live-streaming industry, to comment on the deal.

“Active youth with hundreds of thousands of viewers and wild ideas in their heads, together with a solid production with a large financial and operational office, are good conditions for a strong partnership. I am sure that the teams will focus on popular events with specific monetization. I think this it will give 10-20 million in revenue in the pilot year of cooperation,”
