Vienna-based digital therapy platform nyra health has raised €4.5 million during the oversubscribed seed funding round. MassMutual Ventures (MMV) and Wellington Partners co-led the investment to help the company develops its platform and scale the presence in the DACH region, EU-Startups report.
- Founded in 2020 by Philipp Schöllauf, Mario Zusag, and Moritz Schöllauf, nyra health is a digital therapy platform for people with neurological conditions previously known as myReha. The flagship app utilizes AI technology to provide personalized therapy plans for each user.
- The solution contains over 35,000 interactive exercises to support patients after a neurological illness such as a stroke, dementia or long COVID-19 symptoms. It focuses on their individual needs in speech and cognition to maximise the potential of their rehabilitation process.
“We were deeply impressed by nyra health’s ability to support patients at every stage of their journey. With over 45 hospital customers in Germany and Austria, nyra health has started to demonstrate significant benefits for both patients and clinics. The company’s capability to deliver AI-guided digital support for patients throughout their often year-long recovery journey presents a unique and persuasive proposition in the healthcare sector,”
Dr. Johannes Fischer, Principal at Wellington Partners comments
- Wellington Partners, a pan-European venture capital firm with €800 million under management, is one of the lead investors in the company along with MassMutual Ventures, a multistage, global venture capital firm investing in enterprise software, cybersecurity, financial technology, and digital health companies.
- The fresh funds will enable nyra health to scale its presence in the DACH region. It will also allow the company to enhance its AI technology, and establish a firm foundation for expanding into English-speaking markets.
