The finmid API also allows B2B software platforms to build financing solutions with best-in-class user experience.
  • The Berlin-based fintech company recently secured €35 million to expand and enhance its services across Europe. This funding was also aimed at supporting the scaleup of embedded financing services like Wolt Capital.

Wolt Capital

In 2023, Wolt partnered with finmid to introduce Wolt Capital as a financial service designed to address the issue of lack of financing for small merchants the company partnered with. Initially, the solution was launched in Finland, where it demonstrated its great potential. Later the solution scale to Denmark and Sweden.

After embedding the product into the Wolt interface, the service also launched in Poland, aiming to scale across more markets soon. This expansion ensured that Wolt can continue to support its merchant partners, helping them overcome financial barriers and achieve sustainable growth.

One of finmid’s key strengths is our ability to adapt to the diverse needs of platforms and merchants alike. We believe that all merchants should have easy access to financing through the tools they use daily. Partnering with Wolt enables us to provide this vital support to thousands of restaurants,

Max Schertel, co-founder of finmid, said.

Since the launch in Finland, over 80 NPS with hundreds of live merchants used Wolt Capital’s solution.
