Ukrainian IT company Boosters from the Genesis ecosystem has sold its sleep application Avrora to American entrepreneur Ken Colbert. The company informed AIN about the deal. The total amount of the deal was not disclosed.

About Avrora

  • Avrora was founded in 2018 by the CEO of Boosters, Mykhailo Galian. The first version of the application was called Sleep Booster and consisted of a black screen, a Boost my sleep button and a timer for setting an alarm.
  • Next, the team brought in experts and reformatted the product into a full-featured application with a smart alarm clock, sleep data tracking, nocturnal sounds, and a library of different content to help you fall asleep.
  • According to Mykhailo Galian, the application generated more than $15 million in revenue for the company, and in the five years of its existence, it helped more than 10 million people fall asleep, with more than 40 million sessions.
  • The CEO made the decision to sell the app in 2022, citing a desire to "focus our resources on niches with even greater growth potential." Although the amount of the deal is not disclosed, the company's statement says that nearly $85,000 (UAH 3.5 million) from the sale was directed to the charity foundations "Children of Heroes" and KOLO.
