Horizon Capital investment analyst Andrii Brodetsky drew attention to the fact that according to the company's reports for 2023 and 2022 in the American register, Rentberry's losses amounted to $4.8 million and the number of active users per month is 3 million, which is less than LUN and hundreds of times less than the American market leader Zillow.

"In other words, we are supposed to believe that a tiny property marketplace with a turnover of half a million has attracted $90 million with an estimate of $1 billion. I believe it. Maybe the founder of WeWork was just involved in fundraising? Then there is no question," Brodetskyi writes.

AIN has reached out to Rentberry and investors for additional data and will report as it becomes available.

Rentberry, a Ukrainian-founded platform for real estate rental and management, has successfully completed a $90 million Series A financing. Berkeley Hills Capital and GTM Capital joined the financing round. This raised Rentberry's valuation to $1 billion, the company informed AIN.

Thus, Rentberry has become the seventh unicorn with Ukrainian roots after Creatio, GitLab, People.ai, Grammarly, Unstoppable Domains, and airSlate.

The investment will allow Rentberry to improve its platform, expand its global reach, and explore new horizons in the real estate market.

Rentberry is headquartered in San Francisco, but the team consists mainly of Ukrainian specialists. Rentberry continues to scale and expand its services, including mid-term rentals and modular homes in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Currently, Rentberry is planning to acquire the bankrupt WeWork. 100% of the business is estimated at $550-650 million.

“We are on the threshold of a new era where flexibility in living and working spaces is becoming extremely crucial. The possible acquisition of WeWork is a perfect fit with our vision to offer a seamless experience for people looking for dynamic, adaptive spaces to live and work,” says Rentberry co-founder Alexey Lubinsky.
