Czech-made Kingdom Come: Deliverance II launches with 60% more players on Steam compared to the original

The release of the long-awaited historical RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which took place on January 4, has caused quite a stir in the gaming community. This is a sequel to the 2018 hit - a role-playing action game with a story set in medieval Europe of the 15th century.

According to SteamDB, the game was launched by 159,351 users simultaneously, and the data only accounts the players on the Steam platform. For comparison, the first part of the game did not break in the 100,000 mark.

In addition to the impressive number of players, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is also receiving positive reviews from the community, with an average rating of 90.39% on SteamDB. Out of 6,342 reviews, 93.4% are positive, while there are only 6.6% negative reviews (445 reviews as of the time of publication).

The developer of the game, the Czech-based studio Warhorse Studios has already announced plans for three storyline add-ons to be released by the end of this year. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is available to play on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
