Apple is planning to present an updated version of the budget iPhone SE next week. The launch is scheduled for the end of this month.
Apple will not hold a separate presentation for the device, but will simply announce it on its official website, Bloomberg reports with reference to its sources.
About new iPhone SE
The new iPhone SE will have a design similar to iPhone 14, but without the Home button in favor of Face ID, and will have an A18 chip that will enable buyers to use Apple Intelligence, the company's artificial intelligence.
According to Bloomberg, the smartphone will be the first Apple device with its own built-in modem, replacing Qualcomm components.
It is also expected that the new iPhone SE will feature a USB-C connector for the first time, which will allow it to continue sales in the EU, where the previous version was withdrawn from the market due to non-compliance with local laws on the charging standard.
The current iPhone SE model costs $429, but Apple may raise the price to about $500 due to the updated design and additional features.
At the same time, the device will remain a cheaper alternative to the flagship iPhones, making it attractive to the general Asian, Indian, and Chinese markets.
In addition to the iPhone SE, updated PowerBeats Pro 2 headphones, as well as new iPad and MacBook Air models with the M4 chip are expected to be presented in the near future.
