Solfeg.io, a startup developing the application for learning and teaching music, has closed an €880,000 investment round from Iron Wolf Capital as the leading investor, Labs of Latvia reports.
- Founded in 2017 by Toms Rusovs and Lauma Kazaka, Solfeg.io develops an app that helps teachers inspire people during music classes using popular songs. Currently, it allows to learn ukulele, piano, and guitar for beginners will also be available soon.
- The €880,000 round was led by Iron Wolf Capital. It is a Vilnius-based early-stage VC fund focusing on innovative startups from the EU. Twelve private investors, educational accelerator LearnLaunch Accelerator, and the Swedish acceleration fund Fast Track Capital have supported the round.
- Solfeg.io app is already used in more than 15 thousand schools in 117 countries around the world. In addition, more than 450 new schools register at Solfeg.io monthly.
- The app is currently available to users of the Apple iOS operating system, and an Android version of the app will be released soon.
- The proceeds will allow the startup to scale and expand its customer base.
